What the buyers said...
looks smart and easily cooks enough for a family of 4/5. As cooking chips are the main reason for wanting a health fryer I thought I would try these first; first up frozen chips…I will never cook them in a conventional oven again! the chips came out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside without being dry, perfection. Fresh chips also were very tasty with a crispy outside and fluffy centre, and with the benefit of not swimming in oil. There is a recipe in the instruction manual for potato wedges and roast potatoes, again these were perfect, as were the Yorkshire puddings that I cooked in there! This health fryer is extremely versatile and very simple to use. I like the fact that you can also bake cakes in it, a definite advantage to this appliance. The defrost function works very well, I just followed the guide in the instruction manual for timings. I could not fault this product at all.
The ActiFry has one heat setting but this goes from 60 – 200 degrees. I’ve pretty much cooked anything I’d want to fry or bake in this if it fits & not been disappointed once. The book says to only use 400g of potatoes for chips or roasties but I doubled up for both & there was no problem at all, cooked beautifully. overall it’s easy to use, easy to clean, food comes out lovely & crunchy as you’d expect, doesn’t take up anymore room than a deep fat fryer & feels more robust than the ActiFry.
Was sceptical about the whole concept of healthy fryers , but I have too say I was wrongs . This product is smart looking, compact in size comes with good instructions . Is quick and has a turn off feature that means I can put it to go and carry on with other tasks knowing that it will safely turn it self off . If I lose track of time . was surprised to find it so versatile , have made fairy cakes in it and they were perfect , omelette very light and fluffy , chips crispy outside fluffy in middle .
Conclusion and Rating
Have a good look at the Morphy Richards, well worth considering at the price, well specified, functional, easy to control , full control OR presets ( unlike some others with ONLY preset control ) customer feedback very good 8/10
